Technical Fun and a Little Mud Bashing

Today we had a blast down some old trails in Rewell wood just south of Whiteways that we had not ridden for at least a couple of years. We were joined by Tony who we met on the last couple of Muddy@rse rides.

A couple of highlights were the ride down into Screens Wood which was sheltered from the wind and open to the sunshine, lovely; and the ride along the rooty singletrack ridge at the top of Danes Wood parallel to the 4x4 play area. On the other hand the climb up to the Monarchs Way past Warren Barn was tough as it had recently been chewed into a mud/grit mix by farm vehicles.

All in all a good ride with plently of challenges and enough of a push to get the legs working and the heart rate climbing.
